Biography

Linda graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Calgary and then spent several years living in Seattle, WA with her husband and raising her children.  She returned to Canada and to nursing and has been working as an RN in Kelowna, BC since 2006 with a focus on surgical post- op care care and community health.  Linda has been a Clinical Instructor and lab teacher with UBCO since 2012 and enjoys teaching students for real workplace life and experiences, as well as a developing a global perspective and finding balance and joy in life.  When not working, she loves family, teenagers, being outside, hiking, camping, travel and watching UBCO Heat volleyball.  She is on the board of directors for the Okanagan Valley Pregnancy Care Center and goes to Bolivia annually with Medical Ministry International to provide surgical care for patients with limited access to health care in South America.
